Family has always been important to me. From our family holiday gatherings with grandparents and cousins, to PTA volunteer for my children. My community is important, as well. From local elections to serving on non profit boards in my city of McKinney.
I worked my way through college, Grad School and Law School, working from part time to full time while attending classes. My Estate Planning classes sealed the deal with my future area of practice. I started serving my clients with creating their Estate Plans after Law School and have realized that I need to be more to my clients than the traditional Estate Planning Attorney. I have been able to serve clients and spend time with my children throughout my law career. Being the Estate Planning Attorney, I had all of the documents I needed for my family â Guardianship designations, Wills, Powers of Attorney and eventually a Revocable Trust; however, what I realized what my clients needed is a continuing relationship with their Estate Planning Attorney.
Things change, events happen, children get married. With the traditional Estate Planner, your documents are drafted, you sign them and then take the Estate Plan Binder home to sit in your fire proof safe or on a book shelf. I want to do more for you than the traditional Estate Planning Attorney.
I'm looking for the clients who want to avoid conflict and court, know that their minor children will never be temporarily placed with strangers should something happen to them and want to have their Estate Plan reviewed on an annual basis by their Personal Attorney which includes updates when needed. I focus on Estate Planning: ensuring Texans have a trusted advisor in achieving their estate planning goals through comprehensive and heart-centered estate planning legal services.
I started my firm with the mission to use my education, experience and skills to bring an unmatched level of empathy, wisdom, skill and foresight to the estate planning process. I knew this is where I could make the biggest difference. Because I know what happens when estate planning isnât done properly, or at all.
I live in McKinney with my Husband, Steve, and our two puppies, Hickory and Ziggy. I am a mom to Jared and wife Ashley and Ethan and wife, Julia and an Enisi to Albert and Reese. I am a member of the State Bars of Texas and Missouri and am licensed to practice law in both Texas and Missouri. Serving families with their Estate Planning Needs is a passion of mine.
Making a difference in people's lives has always been important as an Attorney. This is when I knew that I would have to learn to practice Estate Planning in a new way. And thatâs why I became a Personal Family Lawyer and Iâd love to share with you how we do things differently here at my practice.
